How does KEEP work?+

Messages are sent through the free KEEP app. When one arrives, hold your phone on the keychain for about two seconds. NFC transfers it to the e-ink screen, where it remains until you replace it.

Does it need to be charged?+

No. KEEP has no battery. It borrows the small amount of power required to update from your phone through NFC.

Does it need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?+

The keychain itself needs no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The KEEP app needs an internet connection when content is sent and again when you tap the phone to transfer that message to the keychain.

Which phones are compatible?+

KEEP requires an NFC-capable phone. The only way to confirm compatibility with certainty is to check that you can download KEEP on the App Store or KEEP on Google Play.

Can several people send to one KEEP?+

Yes. Invite as many friends or family members as you like to send to one KEEP. You can also create a group and send one shared message to everyone’s KEEP at the same time, creating a true sense of belonging.

What can people send?+

People can use the free KEEP app to send black-and-white text, hand-drawn notes, and stickers to the keychain.

How long does a message stay visible?+

A message stays visible indefinitely, using no power, until you choose to replace it. That means a few meaningful words can travel with you as a lasting little piece of love for as long as you want.

Can I read KEEP outdoors?+

Yes. KEEP’s e-ink display looks like ink on paper, so it stays crisp and readable in bright sunlight without glow or glare.

Is KEEP moisture-resistant?+

KEEP resists everyday moisture and scratches, but it is not waterproof and should never be submerged or put through a washing machine.

Can every KEEP have a different engraving?+

Yes. Each bamboo back can receive its own message of up to 35 characters for €9.99 per unit.

When will pre-orders ship?+

KEEP is available for pre-order and will be delivered in October.
